The Board of Public Works , a full-service municipally-owned utility, operates the Electric, Water, and Sanitary Sewer service within the City of Cozad. Cozad residents enjoy some of the most reliable and reasonably priced utilities in the nation.
Residential deposits are $150.00, all other consumer deposits are $200.00. The statements for electric, water, sewer and sanitation usages are mailed out the last day of the month. Payments are due by the 10th and delinquent after the 20th of each month. Late notices are then mailed and if the outstanding amount goes unpaid, the electricity and water are disconnected for non-payment.
